reading is designed to pique student interest in the joys of
reading. We hope that without the burdens of tests and
deadlines, students will have the opportunity to enjoy the
freedom that summer brings and revel in the words of

Dunellen High School Renaissance Program Revised
Our Renaissance Program has been
rejuvenated and is back better than ever! The Renaissance Program
is a nationally recognized program . . . to recognize positive
performances with positive rewards. We will be using ideas from the
program, along with ideas generated here in Dunellen, to provide our
students with incentives that will help them achieve their goals. . .
The
National Career Resource Center at Rutgers University is
presenting a tuition-free intensive career development residential
program from July 12-17, 2009. The activities include; interactive
workshops, career assessments, exploration of careers in
nontraditional workplaces, building leadership and teamwork skills,
and evening social/cultural enrichment events. For consideration,
submit an application by March 1, 2009. Applications are available

We discovered
that people today still do not believe that the Holocaust
happened, yet there are survivors that speak about it and
have the bruises to show. On May 6th we went to the Morris
Museum to see Dr. Norbert and Mrs. Gerta Bikales, who are

DHS Students Produce Public
Service Announcement:
Don't Drink and Drive!
On April 30th, 2009 three DHS
students attended the Middlesex County 3D PSA Contest "Don't
Drink and Drive" The students submitted a 30 second
video on Drinking and Driving. While there, we attended 3
workshops in the morning.
Each year, the Biology Club landscapes the Dunellen high
school grounds as a way of celebrating Earth Day. The
Biology Club's Earth Day Project was held on May 1st this
year. . .
At the March 31 meeting, the
Dunellen Education Foundation President, Mr. Jeff Dunsavage, awarded
each recipient with the
Dunellen Education Foundation grant.
