Hurricane Sandy The State Department of Agriculture, School Nutrition Programs, advises that children residing in or evacuated from disaster areas determined homeless under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act by the local school district’s homeless coordinator, are automatically eligible for free meals in the Child Nutrition Programs.
You may contact Mrs. Eileen Sanok, District Homeless Coordinator, 732-968-3226, ext. 13, if your family, or a family from another school district now living with you, are homeless as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Mrs. Sanok will make the official determination according to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. You may also contact the State for assistance at 609-292-2070.

New USDA RegulationsThese new standards will cut salt and fat, limit calories, and increase the servings of fruits and vegetables. The comprehensive changes which school districts must implement in the 2012-13 school year, were made based on recommendations from the medical community and could have a positive influence on children's health throughout the United States.

Student Residency Hotline The Dunellen Public School District wants to ensure that all students attending our schools are residents of Dunellen.
If you have information related to a student attending our schools that you believe is a non-resident, please leave specific information regarding your suspicion to our anonymous hotline at 732-474-7114. Provide us with as much information as possible such as student name(s), grade, school, and address. You need not give your name to report information. All calls will be investigated.
In addition to the Student Residency Hotline, residency concerns can also be emailed to residency@dunellenschools.org.
