Dr. Isaias Noel Gendrano III believes that every child should have access to a quality education, in a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and supportive environment conducive to success. He has lived in Dunellen since 2008. He became a member of the Board of Education in 2019 and has been President since 2022.
Dr. Gendrano earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He went on to earn his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Public Health-Epidemiology, also from Rutgers University. Dr. Gendrano currently works as a clinical scientist in the pharmaceutical industry.
Facilitating the highest quality education possible in Dunellen and developing novel medicines to meet unmet medical needs are Dr. Gendrano’s foci, but his first love is his wife, his two kids, and his dog, with his second love being creating and sharing music. You can usually find him at a local open mic singing and strumming away.
Lisa Howard has proudly served the educational community of Dunellen for the past six years. This January, Mrs. Howard began her seventh year as a Board member and her second year as the Board Vice President. As a Board member, Mrs. Howard supports the work of the faculty, staff, and school administration who work tirelessly to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of all students in the district.
Mrs. Howard is the K-12 Curriculum Supervisor for World Languages and English language learners for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools. She began her career in education as a high school Italian teacher and was an active member of her school community at Ridge High School. Mrs. Howard enjoys providing professional development to her colleagues in her current district as well as at state, regional, and national conferences for language education.
Mrs. Howard has been a resident of Dunellen for 15 years. She enjoys participating in local events with her husband and two sons.
Jason Anderson has been a member of the Dunellen Board of Education since 2016. He was first appointed to fill a one-year seat and was then elected to a 3-year term the following year.
Mr. Anderson grew up in the neighboring town of Piscataway and has been a resident of Dunellen for 18 years. He has three children in the district, one in each of our schools.
After leaving the military, Mr. Anderson got a job as a teacher’s assistant and decided to go back to school to get a degree in History/Education. He currently works for the Plainfield Public School System as a middle school History teacher as well as a coach and advisor to the robotics and e-gaming clubs.
In his free time, Mr. Anderson enjoys reading, sports, and coaching Dunellen youths in recreation programs. Mr. Anderson's passion for educating youth is evident in his knowledge of current educational trends that he uses in his classroom, in his coaching, and most importantly in support of the Dunellen community!
Guadalupe P. Condit was appointed to the Board of Education in November 2022 and was sworn in in January 2023. Throughout the years she has been an active volunteer within the community, especially the PTO. As a parent, she believes it is very important to be actively involved in her children's education.
Mrs. Condit moved to Dunellen with her family 29 years ago from Mexico. She attended all three schools in Dunellen and graduated from Dunellen High School in 2002. After graduating high school, she left town for a few years but decided to move back. She continued her studies and earned a degree in Business Administration.
Mrs. Condit is happily married and has four children aged 7, 10, 13, and 16, who currently attend all three schools in the district.
Michael Duggan has been a proud member of the Dunellen Board of Education for the past three years. He has also coached in the Dunellen recreation department for the past 15 years. He feels fortunate to have these opportunities to help serve the community. Always an educator at heart, Mr. Duggan finds these roles rewarding and enjoyable. He believes in the importance of volunteering and he believes that the actions and encouragement from a coach or a teacher can have a profoundly positive impact on a child’s life.
Mr. Duggan has been an educator for the past thirty years. He began his career as an English and Speech Arts Dramatics teacher at Lodi High School, taught English at the Union County Magnet High School and in 2000, joined the staff at John P. Stevens High School in Edison where he taught English and Theatre. At different times, Mr. Duggan coached high school soccer, was the yearbook advisor, literary magazine advisor, ski club advisor, directed plays, wrote curriculum, and served on many committees. Mr. Duggan then secured a position as a Staff Development trainer where he provided support and professional development to new teachers hired to Edison. For the past 15 years, Mr. Duggan has been an elementary Principal in Edison.
Mr. Duggan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Kean College. He continued on to earn his Master in The Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and then earn a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Kean University. Mr. Duggan and his wife, Michelle, a paraprofessional in Metuchen, first moved to Dunellen 20 years ago and have enjoyed being Destroyers ever since. They now have three children, one in
college, one at DHS and one at LMS. He enjoys spending time with his family including their two dogs and exploring National and State parks by means of camping, biking, and hiking.
Wilfred Sa-Onoy is a seasoned Technical Project/Portfolio Manager currently leading financial payment systems implementations at Fiserv. With a rich and diverse career spanning both military and civilian sectors, he brings a unique blend of leadership, technical expertise, and project management acumen to the board.
Mr. Sa-onoy has worked in Information Technology for over 24 years. Before working at Fiserv, he was a Senior Project Manager at Pearson Education, steering the transition of technical support and operations into a managed services model. He previously worked at TD Ameritrade in a pivotal role, implementing technology and processes to support professional service automation and project portfolio management. He began his technology career as a project coordinator at Morgan Stanley for their customer engineering and support department.
Mr. Sa-Onoy's dedication extends beyond the corporate world, having served over 15 years in the United States Marine Corps on both active and reserve duty. His roles included Avionics Technician, Platoon Sergeant for a Cold Weather Mountain Warfare Reserve Unit, Battalion Administration Chief, and Combat Cameraman. He then obtained a direct commission as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve serving another 17 years. Mr. Sa-Onoy took on diverse roles such as Finance Analyst, Search and Rescue Controller, Force Readiness Officer, and Engineering and Weapons Department Chief for a deployable special operations unit and retired from the Reserves in 2020. Mr. Sa-Onoy was awarded the 4th Field Services Support Group - Reserve Marine of the Year and was also recognized as the Reservist of the Year by the Capital Marine Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
Mr. Sa-Onoy graduated Summa Cum Laude from New Jersey City University with a BA in Media Arts.
Mr. Sa-Onoy embodies a unique blend of military discipline, strategic thinking, and project management proficiency. His career journey reflects a commitment to excellence, adaptability, and a passion for tackling complex challenges. Whether in the corporate or military arena, Wilfred consistently delivers results and stands as a testament to the power of leadership and diverse expertise. He is happily married and has lived in Dunellen since 2004. Mr. Sa-onoy and his wife have 5 children with 1 attending Faber, another in Lincoln Middle School, 2 in Dunellen High, and the oldest recently graduated from DHS.
Shronda Kyi Wise-Schimpf was elected to the Dunellen Board of Education in November 2022. A resident of Dunellen for 19 years, she is dedicated to serving this office to enhance the quality of learning for all stakeholders. A veteran educator for the Jersey City Public Schools for over 25 years, her values are based on equity and accountability. One of her mantras is: "What gets measured, gets done."
Ms. Schimpf holds an MA in Education and a BA in English from Saint Peter's University. She also holds Supervisory and Administrative certifications, and previously served as a Head Teacher and Literacy Coach in Jersey City. In her spare time, Ms. Schimpf enjoys spending time with family, reading a good book, and traveling. She is a Life Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and is a Registered Parliamentarian.

Dave Walker is a long time Dunellen resident and has lived in town for over 50 years. Mr. Walker is married to his wife Colleen, who is also a lifetime resident of Dunellen. Both graduated Dunellen High School and currently have two children in DHS, as well as one that graduated from DHS in 2022. Mr. Walker is currently in the first year of his current three-year term, and is in his second term as a Dunellen BOE member.
Mr. Walker is a Facilities Professional and currently serves as the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for the Springfield Board of Education. Before working in Springfield, Mr. Walker spent time in Watchung Boro, Edison, and South Brunswick. Prior to his career in facilities, Mr. Walker owned Dunellen Auto Supply for 7 years. Mr. Walker graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and is also a graduate of the Rutgers Certified Educational Facility Management (CEFM) Program.
Being the best possible Facilities Professional is a driving force in Mr. Walker's life, but the most important thing to him is spending time with his family. The Walker family spends as much time outdoors as possible hiking, fishing, or just driving around and looking at the sights.
