We are starting the year strong at DHS as students settle into classroom routines, expectations, and learning! As we continue building these positive habits, please remind your student to bring their Chromebook to school fully charged each day. Loaner Chromebooks will only be provided when a school-issued device is broken or in need of repair. Thank you for helping our students come to school prepared and ready to learn!
And speaking of learning, we are already seeing some great things happening in our classrooms!
In Ms. Bodak’s Biology classes, students have been learning by doing as they rotate through hands-on stations exploring different forms of life. From examining preserved specimens and shells to getting an up-close look through microscopes, students are observing, investigating, and putting their biology skills into action.
Meanwhile, Mr. Miller’s Geometry students are flexing their algebra skills! Students are working in collaborative groups to solve equations involving lines and midpoints, combining teamwork, problem-solving, and some serious math skills.
It’s great to see our students digging into the new school year, collaborating with one another, and getting right to work!
